New York, NY--Signet Jewelers said it will close about 100 stores in fiscal 2027, fold James Allen into Blue Nile, and integrate Rocksbox into Kay Jewelers as it reshapes operations around its larger brands. The company said it will prioritize Kay Jewelers, Zales, and Jared.

According to a report by TheStreet, James Allen's standalone website is scheduled to shut down in the second quarter of fiscal 2027, while Rocksbox will be absorbed during fiscal 2026. Signet said its U.K. brands and Peoples Jewellers will remain in place because they are performing well and are generally self-sustaining.

The report said Signet also plans to renovate nearly 10% of its stores, a pace about 30% above its earlier target, after updated formats produced modest same-store sales gains. As of Jan. 31, 2026, the company operated 2,582 locations, including 2,238 in the United States, 91 in Canada, and 253 internationally.

The report said same-store sales fell 0.7% in the fourth quarter of fiscal 2026 but rose 1.3% for the full year. Core brands generated more than 3% same-store sales growth and about 70% of revenue.

More details are available in this report by TheStreet.
