Little Rock, AR--Sissy’s Log Cabin has officially broken ground on its future flagship store in Little Rock, according to a report by The Pine Bluff Commercial. The new location, off North University Avenue, is expected to open in fall 2026.
Founded in 1970 in Pine Bluff, the family-owned jewelry retailer currently operates seven stores across Arkansas and Tennessee, the report noted. The upcoming 11,300-square-foot store will sit less than half a mile from the company’s existing Heights storefront on North Grant Street. Architect Jesse Balaity, who also designed the company’s Memphis and Fort Smith locations, is leading the project.
Company leaders said the new store will feature additional brands and experiences. “Since 2010, Little Rock has been an important part of our company’s story, and this flagship project represents our investment in the city’s future,” said William Jones, president of Sissy’s Log Cabin, per the report. “With this new store, we're raising the bar for fine jewelry shopping with new brands, new experiences, and a storefront that's both modern and unmistakably Sissy’s,” he added.
The groundbreaking event was attended by founder Sissy Jones, employees, customers, and several local and state leaders, including Little Rock Mayor Frank Scott Jr., Arkansas Lt. Gov. Leslie Rutledge, and members of the Little Rock Regional Chamber, RPM Group, and Cline Construction, per the report.
“Our story began in Arkansas nearly 55 years ago, and every step forward is rooted in the values my mother built this company on: family, trust, and service,” said Bill Jones, CEO of Sissy’s Log Cabin. He added that the new location will continue to focus on customer service and quality.
The company described itself as the “Mid-South’s largest family-owned and operated retailer of natural diamonds, jewelry, estate pieces, and fine gifts,” as noted in the report.
