Smith & Son Jewelers to Close Springfield Store After 107 Years August 12, 2025 (0 comments)
Springfield, MA--Smith & Son Jewelers is closing its Springfield location after 107 years in operation, according to WWLP.

Owner Andrew Smith said family priorities drove the decision following his father's retirement. He noted he wants to spend more time with his children and prepare for the arrival of several grandchildren.
The store's closing sale began with a strong turnout. "We had a line out the door, and it's just been spectacular. It’s a little bittersweet," Smith told WWLP.
There is no set closing date. The Springfield location will remain open until all jewelry inventory is sold and all customer repairs are collected. Discounts are being offered during the sale.
The company's Enfield, Connecticut, store will continue to operate.
