Smyth Jewelers to Plant Oysters for Chesapeake Bay with Every Engagement Ring Sale Through September 30 May 27, 2024 (0 comments)

Baltimore, MD--Smyth Jewelers announced on Facebook that they will plant 1,000 oysters in the Chesapeake Bay for every engagement ring sold through September 30.

This initiative, now in its fourth year, is part of their ongoing partnership with the Oyster Recovery Partnership (ORP).

To date of sharing this post, Smyth Jewelers said it has planted 1.5 million oysters in the bay, intending to reach 2 million by the end of this campaign. The ORP focuses on restoring the oyster population, vital for maintaining the bay's ecological balance.

"Oysters play a crucial role in the delicate balance of the Chesapeake Bay ecosystem, and will provide a meaningful impact on bay waters for generations to come," the post highlighted.
