State Street Jewelers Returns from Antwerp with Hand-Selected Diamonds October 09, 2025 (0 comments)
Geneva, IL--State Street Jewelers' consultants traveled to Antwerp, Belgium, where over 80% of the world's diamonds are traded, to select stones for their Geneva, Illinois showroom. According to Shaw Local, the trip allowed the team to buy directly from Antwerp's cutters and suppliers, to help them ensure quality and value.

As members of the Independent Jewelers Organization (IJO), the team was granted access to Antwerp's tightly secured Diamond District, an area open only to authorized jewelers. The report noted that this access provides opportunities most retailers do not have.
The jewelers focused on VVS clarity and D-to-G color range diamonds, all cut to "XXX" standards for precision and brilliance. During their visit, they viewed three natural blue diamonds, highlighting Antwerp's role as a source for rare stones.
Each diamond selected in Antwerp is evaluated for quality before being brought back to Geneva for customers seeking top-grade stones with verified sourcing.
