Las Vegas, NV--The 1981 book titled "The Practical Guide to Jewelry Appraising" has long served as a guide to professionalism in jewelry appraising and now a new, updated fourh edition is available from author Cos Altobelli. To honor its launch, 80 fourth editions will be given away to qualified jewelry industry professionals. 

Altobelli, who retired in February 2021, has recently updated the guide, which he says even better highlights his decades of experience and expertise in the jewelry appraisal industry, making the text more relevant for the times to come.

American Gem Society (AGS) jeweler, Pieter Andries Hye, CGA, Honorary Consul for the Kingdom of Belgium, and Founder & CEO of the Pieter Andries Companies, in collaboration with the book’s author, Cos Altobelli, is making 80 complimentary copies of this newest edition available to interested persons employed in the jewelry industry in order to continue to support the highest standards of professionalism. Eligible individuals are anyone working in the jewelry industry whether in retail, wholesale, manufacturing, auctions, insurance and/or appraising, according to AGS.

Interested individuals can fill out an online form at cosaltobelli.com to participate in the Free Book Program.  Applications will be processed within 30 days of receipt and must be received by June 30, 2022.
