St. Louis, MO--Jewelers looking for new ideas for engagement ring marketing might want to take a lesson from Purina. Yes, Purina. The same company that makes Dog Chow, Cat Chow, et cetera. The company's new commercial for its upscale Fancy Feast brand of cat food is positively brilliant, and as effective at tugging on the heartstrings as any diamond or jewelry commercial ever was.  If Purina can romance cat food this well, imagine what it could do for diamonds.

Incidentally, in an older commercial introducing its new dry food, the Fancy Feast brand reinforces its upscale position in the cat food market by comparing itself to couture fashion designer Carolina Herrera and jeweler/watchmaker Vacheron Constantin.
