Los Angeles, CA--Uneek, led by Benjamin Javaheri, wins in 6 major categories of the 2021 INSTORE Design Awards. This year, Uneek celebrates its 25th anniversary and through the years, it has received numerous awards from notable industry titles and organizations. The winning pieces are shown below.
“JUBILEE” --- BEST COLORED DIAMOND JEWELRY and RETAILER’S CHOICE (See top left image.)
Inspired by the spirit of hope and optimism, the “Jubilee” ring is a 8.01ct Oval Fancy Yellow diamond, highlighted by its 18k yellow basket, belongs to Uneek’s Natureal Collection. This canary brilliant is flanked by 2 pear-shaped (0.66ctw) side stones and 152 round diamonds (0.79ctw) from its Bombay infinity halo down to its 18K white gold shank. Style Number: R010U
“The vibrance of the fancy yellow diamond elicits a positive emotion like when we bask under the sun. After a challenging 2020, I felt that we needed to have something to represent joy and hope. That’s the story behind Jubilee. I want a piece that would remind people about gratitude, about that happiness from sunshine,” Javaheri explains.
“THE VISION” --- BEST RING OVER $5000
The 11.58ct Royal Blue Sapphire Ring called “The Vision” is the pride of Uneek Jewelry. After winning Platinum Honors in the Bridal Wear category of the AGTA Spectrum Awards 2020, it also won Best Ring over $5000 from INSTORE. Style Number: R029CUBSU
Javaheri shares, “This design has won multiple awards and I have never been so proud of this work. It is inspired by old-world metalsmithing techniques with a new modern touch. The craftsmanship which every Uneek artisan does continues to push me to create beautiful pieces like this.”
“THE PROMISE” --- BEST ENGAGEMENT/WEDDING JEWELRY OVER $5000 and RETAILER’S CHOICE
“The Promise” is a 3ct Oval Diamond center decorated by 2 baguettes (0.22ctw) and 20 round brilliants (0.30ctw). Style Number: R004U
“We’ve been in the business for 25 years but designing engagement rings always give a good challenge. I want to show the couple’s story and capture their proposal. Every engagement ring is different and winning this category means that we vanguard our craft and be unique.”
“NIGHTINGALE” --- BEST EARRINGS OVER $5000, 3rd PLACE
The “Nightingale” is a pair of indicolite tourmaline earrings (4.16ctw) surrounded by 64 round diamonds (1.88ctw). Two shield diamonds (0.88ctw) adds more glimmer to the piece mounted in 18k white gold. Style Number: ER003INTOURU
According to Javaheri, “Tourmalines are an interesting choice for color jewelry. They come in different shades and show subtle changes in tone at every angle that add character to any piece.”
