Scottsdale, AZ--One of Jewelers of America's biggest roles in the industry is to fight for nationwide legislation that helps retail jewelers compete on a level playing field. For that task, the organization turns to Major General Tim Haake, an attorney in Dentons' Washington, DC office, who has served for decades as JA's lobbyist for its political action committee, JAPAC. He and JA CEO David Bonaparte were part of a special panel presentation at Centurion Scottsdale, detailing the steps and victories JAPAC has had toward gaining sales tax fairness for brick-and-mortar jewelers against online sellers, and other issues of importance. See accompanying story here.

The Centurion Newsletter caught up with Bonaparte and Haake after their presentation for an exclusive one-on-one video interview. Click here or on the image below to watch.
