Lindon City, UT--Michelle Luchese and John Ruggiero wanted their wedding ring shopping experience to be unique — something to at least feel a "little excited" about. But it turned out to be a huge hassle instead.

The disappointment wasn't such sourly-served after all, as the couple decided to start their own company in 2016 in Rosemary Beach, Fl. — a place where they help find people discover "more of their personality," which might not happen with traditional designs. They later moved the business to Utah.

Their company, Manly Bands, makes men's wedding rings from tungsten, wood from whiskey and wine barrels, carbon fiber, antlers, meteorites, and even dinosaur bones. They've had orders to make rings from a retired aircraft career, a Sherman tank, and parts of M1 Garand rifles.

The varying order requirements show the kind of market Luchese and Ruggiero have tapped into.

Learn more about their ring-making ventures — from "Lord of the Rings" to whiskey barrels —  in the entire report.
