Invest in staff education and training. Webinars, classes or educational events, like AGS Conclave, provide opportunities to engage, develop, and motivate your employees. This investment offers numerous benefits. For example, Inc. magazine says that education and training for your team can build loyalty and enhance your reputation in the community as a valued employer, which in turn attracts talented employees.

According to the Association for Talent Development, companies who invest in education for their employees enjoy a 24% higher profit margin than those who spend less; this assertion is backed up by a study from the University of Washington, validating that investing in employee education can increase profitability.

Schedule learning opportunities for your team for the year in January, to better demonstrate your commitment to continuous employee development within your organization. Start by asking your team how they can add value to your business. Do they have a passion or idea that can innovate and elevate your business? If so, what training or educational resources do they need to get started?

This simple conversation can provide projects for employees during downtime and solve a business need. Maybe you have an inspiring social media guru, customer experience ace or content curator in your midst. Investing in education and training is a win-win in the New Year for your team and your business.
