READ PART 1 HERE.
Today, we'll learn how to put it all together with three pieces:
- Custom Audiences
- Pixel Audiences
- Lookalike Audiences
Each of these types of audiences will enable us to market to different people in different ways.
Custom Audiences
Facebook enables you to upload your own customer or contacts list. This is a pretty standard
custom audience. Its an extremely powerful way to reach specific people who have already shown interest in you - like people who opted in for an offer, or previous customers. So right off the bat, you should upload a custom audience and begin marketing to them on Facebook.

Pixel Audiences
Facebook offers a line of code - called the Facebook Pixel - that collects visitor data to your website. Facebook tracks these visitors, and then lets you re-market to these people.
Depending on the type of website you use, there are a couple different ways you can install the Facebook pixel on your website. Many website platforms, like Wordpress, have simple plugins to add the Facebook pixel to your website with a simple click.

Lookalike Audiences
Lastly, we have Lookalike Audiences. Facebook, of course, has data on all it's users. It can create Lookalike Audiences for you based on this data. A Lookalike audience is when Facebook tries to find other Facebook users with similar interests and demographics as the people who already follow you. Essentially, Facebook guesses who would like your page based on who already likes your page. This is a great way to attract potential customers.
