Green Bay, WI--“If you want to be successful, surround yourself with successful people.” I don’t think Kyle Bullock coined this phrase but today he gets to. In my training videos, I’ve invited industry leaders such as Brad Huiken, Peter Smith and more importantly, great salespeople who have shared their knowledge with our community.
The tradition continues with the addition of Kyle Bullock to the training platform. Kyle owns Bullock’s Jewelry in Roswell New Mexico and has done truly remarkable things that owners want to learn. In his early thirties, he managed to purchase his 100-plus year old family business from his father and has empowered his team to run the store with a minimal amount of Kyle’s leadership. He put systems in place that allow for the store culture and business growth to blossom. Kyle’s has spoken at several business conferences and has a thriving consulting business, helping owners, managers and “ownagers,” (as he calls them) to have a balanced work life.
Some owners want to step away entirely. Some want to work in the store a day or two per week. Some want to empower their managers to take the store to new levels that are beyond their current abilities. Kyle’s ownager training is new available on the Train Retail platform for $200 per month. He is offering the first three foundation videos for free for jewelers to understand how simple it can be to achieve a great work/life balance.
We all love our communities that feed us, whether it’s a Skull-type group or a buying group. There’s tremendous power in groups and involvement in communities is a great example of submission, accountability and shared knowledge. If you’re not in a community that allows you to be bigger than yourself, I would start searching immediately. As for Kyle, Brad and I, we’re going to keep steady to provide a place for jewelers to find resources, encouragement and ultimately peace of mind.
