Many consumers are looking to spend on meaningful items like jewelry in lieu of experiential gifts like travel, which aren't as accessible at the moment, and so far industry business surveys have borne this out.

Utilize Social Media. Post holiday-themed images on your social to attract customers and show product you're offering this season. Update Your Website. Add an "Order By" date to your website to inform customers of when they must order their gifts to receive them in time for the holidays. Include an offer on your site to view pieces virtually in a Zoom appointment. Offer information on store hours and safe delivery options (shipping, curbside pick-up, etc.).
Tell Your Story. Consumers are looking to shop small and local this year. Tell the story of your business on social media to enhance this connection with your customers who want to support businesses they know and trust.
Promote Social. Increase your promotion leading up to the holidays to maximize your efforts. Promotion can be targeted to the location(s) of your store(s) and can be pushed at key times like Super Saturday, the last Saturday before Christmas. In 2020, this is December 19.
