New York, NY--The Plumb Club announces the launch of the Jewelers Resource Center, a legacy gift to the industry taking place through the month of March. Kicking off on Wednesday March 2, at 2:00 p.m. Eastern time, it will open with an event in the Plumb Club's virtual auditorium, followed by three more weeks of educational presentations, scavenger hunts, and prizes.
The inaugural event will treat visitors to a tour of the Jewelers Resource Center, followed by an educational presentation titled, “Is a Tsunami Coming: The Diamond Dilemma.” The session will provide experienced insight into one of the most important categories at retail. The renowned panelists will include Elliot Tannenbaum of Leo Schachter, Dave Meleski (top image) of The Richline Group (a Berkshire Hathaway Company), and Sue Rechner of WD Lab Grown Diamonds. The discussion will speak about industry issues, as well as external issues that spur volatility and impact diamond pricing. Additionally, they will speak on various diamond niche markets and the wave of change we are seeing with the emergence of lab grown diamonds, and give thoughts on how a retailer can remain competitive and still maintain margin.
