Appleton, WI--Again, drawing from Garry Ridge’s book “Any dumbass can do it” we’re drilling down to the true function of our business by looking at a toaster.

What is the function of a toaster? Sure, it’s to toast bread. But why? Because toasted bread is tasty. But why? Because the crusty surface provides the perfect surface for holding warm butter and jelly or jam and it is tasty and pleasurable to eat it this way. But why? Because it sends you off in the morning feeling loved.

This is my way of telling you that you matter and that I love you and would do anything for your happiness. WOW! There it is, the FUNCTION of a toaster!

So, what’s the function of your business? Try this in a store meeting sometime. Digging down to the core of why you do what you do will not only give your business a phenomenal perspective on why you do what you do. But it can greatly help with practical business decisions, and it crystallizes why your team gets up and comes in every single day. Especially in today’s employment environment, your team needs a cause, a purpose, a big WHY they do what they do every day.
