Bloomington, IN--An in-store event titled "Tacos, Tequila & Tattoos" was a huge success for Gold Casters Jewelers, generating interest from both current and new customers. The store used the August 24 event to introduce the edgy King Baby line of jewelry to customers, and it was one of the best events the jeweler ever had, says Georgena Kincaid of Gold Casters.

"We had a crowd from the time the doors opened till closing. New customers that have never been in! After 36 years, that's not easy," she said.

Gold Casters worked with industry marketing expert James Porte to prepare for the event. Porte, owner of Porte Marketing, supplied all the marketing materials for the event, including flyers, posters, photos, social media marketing, and more. The store placed flyers with a local Harley Davidson motorcycle dealer and in area bars popular with bikers, along with a print and social media marketing campaign created by Porte.

The tattoo competition, with the winner receiving a $250 credit toward the purchase of King Baby jewelry, was the focus of the event, but customers--many first timers--loved just browsing, and of course the free maragaritas too! Here are more snaps and social media from the event:
