Want Better Social Media Results? Ask Your Customers!August 03, 2016 (0 comments)
|Princeton, NJ—Luxury jewelers get it that social media is important for marketing. But many wonder just what it is that their customers want to read. Hamilton Jewelers, a leading luxury jeweler with stores in both New Jersey and Florida, figured the best way to know is simply to ask! A July 25 post on the store’s Facebook page (left) put the question out to fans: what do you really want to see? The post garnered 158 likes at press time, and two shares.
Here is a selection of the answers Hamilton Jewelers received—ideas to incorporate in your own social media posts:
- How about the origins of the stones used in the jewelry you offer. (2 likes)
- How about some "real stories" of Hamilton Jewelers couples that recently got engaged and where the marriage proposal was? (4 likes)
- Special offers are great! It would also be interesting to do an "employee of the month" or employee spotlight to get to know the stellar, awesome employees and what they do for Hamilton Jewelers (8 likes)
- Showcase a designer piece once a month and include a blurb from the designer on what inspired the piece. I also like what Gregg McCullough [author of the ‘employee of the month’ post] said, you'll not only be making your company friendlier but I bet it would boost employee morale to be featured. - Gift ideas. What to wear with what. Classic looks. New trends. Collector's pieces. What to insure and why. How to care for precious pieces. (2 likes)
- A history of the store. Lots more sparkling jewelry!!! (3 likes)
- Guidance on how to build a classic collection for recent grads & new professionals -- whether through their own purchases or a gift registry: best logical/strategic ways to invest in a suite of gold, silver, pearl, diamond pieces that will last a lifetime. And how to add dramatic pieces for punch, etc. Sensibly, smartly, in a world where people often think they ‘can't’ afford fine jewelry.
How about something for the love of animals in brilliant color gemstones. Something for ethical Veganism.
