Pandora Tops 10 Most-Googled Jewelry BrandsAugust 12, 2015 (0 comments)
|New York, NY—Research conducted by Karus Chains, a company specializing in silver and gold chains for men, has identified the 10 jewelry brands most often Google searched. While the company is a jewelry supplier, its corporate blog features some extensive and comprehensive market research reports. For example, its last post on the subject featured data about men’s jewelry searches over the past two years.
The company now has highlighted the top 10 jewelry brands in terms of Google search. Of the 10, seven are fine jewelry brands, two (Kendra Scott and Michael Kors) are higher-end fashion brands, and one (Swarovski) spans both fashion and fine categories. The most-searched brands are, in descending order:
- Pandora
- Tiffany & Co.
- Swarovski
- Cartier
- Thomas Sabo
- Bvlgari
- David Yurman
- Kendra Scott
- Chanel
- Michael Kors
Karus’s report breaks out searches by USA vs. global results, by year-on-year results from 2014 to 2015, and by results according to search terms for each brand. It includes a section on the correlation between searches and sales results. While Karus can’t directly identify sales results for the brands identified, it says that through extrapolation of existing data, conclusions can be drawn that increased search results do lead to higher sales.
“As well as using Google's Keyword Planner to measure search volumes, we also used software called Long Tail Pro to generate as many keywords as possible for each brand,” Caemin O’Connor, author of the company’s blog, told The Centurion.
Karus’s report is focused on jewelry brands only; watches and watch brands were excluded. The methodology is described here.
