Initially, the La Verne municipality pledged a $10,000 reward, but according to a CBS news report, this amount received an equal match from the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors. Their collective contribution aims to boost the chances of obtaining valuable leads.

This incident unfolded on July 1, at about 12:15 in the afternoon. The culprits zeroed in on Rodeo Jewelers, which stands at 1560 Foothill Boulevard.

Emerging from a white, four-door car that rammed the store's front glass panes, four perpetrators wasted no time smashing showcases and pocketing the jewels.

Per the report, an employee of the store faced aggression during the burglary but evaded grave harm.

Post the act, authorities highlighted that the culprits made their getaway in a distinct vehicle, described as a black sedan.

Supervisor Kathryn Barger expressed her concerns in the report, stating that the family-driven establishment took a heavy blow.

"I am hopeful this reward will encourage anyone with information to reach out so we can put a stop to individuals engaging in criminal behavior and hold them accountable," Barger noted in the report.

Anyone with details about the incident is urged to call (909) 457-6541 and inform the investigative team.
