According to a report, owners Carl and Becky Saenger purchased the business from their father in 1988. For the past 20 years, the business had been tucked in its unique location on the fifth floor of the Oak Park Tower at 21st and Oak Streets.

Carl and Becky are considering retirement and liquidating their stock, planning to wrap things up by January. Carl noted that the store managed to find an identity for itself based on multigenerational relationships with families.
