Chicago, IL--Maria Coronel, the owner of Joyería Molina, a jewelry store located at 2621 W. 51st St. in the Gage Park neighborhood of Chicago, is grappling with fear and uncertainty following a recent armed robbery. The incident involved four masked men armed with guns and was captured on the store's surveillance cameras.

A report in CBS states that during the robbery, the assailants smashed display cases and stole thousands of dollars worth of jewelry.

Per the report, the surveillance footage revealed a methodical approach by the robbers, including one using the exit of a customer to bypass a normally locked door to gain entry. A fourth accomplice was also recorded arriving in a white car and entering the store.

Coronel, who was present during the robbery, recalled a moment when a robber pointed a gun at her and instructed her to get down on the floor. In a panicked response, she fled the store. Reflecting on the incident in the report, Coronel expressed her relief that her children were not present and that she escaped physical harm.

Coronel, who inaugurated her store approximately a year and a half ago, now faces uncertainty about continuing her business amid an ongoing investigation with uncertainty on arrests.
