Assael Releases Documentary Video June 08, 2021 (0 comments)
New York, NY—“Assael Revealed, The Legendary Legacy of Pearl Pioneer Salvador J Assael,” is a documentary-style short film that celebrates the unique and unparalleled history of Assael, the New York-based luxury brand of magnificent pearls and responsibly sourced coral.
Touted by the The New York Times as “a titan of the cultured pearl business,” the brand’s founder Salvador Assael had an unmatched passion for exceptional quality pearls and was responsible for groundbreaking developments in the pearl industry, particularly bringing black Tahitian pearls to market and creating their tremendous popularity. His first perfect strand of black Tahitian pearls was featured by renowned jeweler Harry Winston and it sold in less than a week.
The new film tells the story of his many firsts and how he left an indelible mark on the history of pearls and fine jewelry. Produced by three-time Emmy Award winner Dean Love and his production company Dean Love Films, the mini-doc explores Salvador’s enduring legacy through a series of interviews, especially with Salvador’s esteemed wife Christina, now serving as Assael CEO and president.
