Lafayette, LA--Stuller’s annual Bench Jeweler Workshop event for bench jewelers, including its famous annual Battle of the Benches competition, is returning to the jeweler's global headquarters on March 27-28, 2020.

“This is the event for bench jewelers,” says Tammy Lail, Stuller vice president of tools and metals. “From in-depth seminars to skill demonstrations, there is something here for everyone regardless of your current level.” This year’s event will host popular seminars and demonstrations such as Basic Diamond Grading, Social Media Uncovered, Pricing Repair, and Laser Welding.

The fifth annual Battle of the Benches competition will also take place on the demonstration floor. The defending 2019 champion is Evgenii Fedko, a jeweler who was one of Centurion's Emerging Designer Competition winners last year, and who debuted to the industry at the 2019 Centurion Show in Scottsdale, AZ.

Challenging Fedko will be three exceptional bench jewelers: Stanislav Petrov, David Adamson, and Richard Wiegel, who will compete against Fedko in a real-time design contest, says Lail. “Over the course of two days, the contestants will design, prep, polish, and assemble new creations right on our demonstration floor.”
