According to a report published in Timeout, after 13 years on Bedford Avenue, the original Brooklyn Charm closed its doors in August 2020 due to high rent costs. Tracie Campbell, the owner, moved her headquarters to Ventura, California, at the peak of the pandemic craft boom. This move also saw the closure of their Chelsea Market outpost.
However, like many New Yorkers who venture to the West Coast, Brooklyn Charm has made a reliable return. It first reemerged at Artists and Fleas in Chelsea Market and has now returnedr to its namesake borough in Brooklyn, conveniently located near the G train.rrrrr
The report noted that the newly opened Brooklyn Charm shop at 616 Manhattan Avenue offers a range of charms, including New York-specific ones like mini MetroCards and pizza slices. Customers will also find chains, beads, pendants, earrings, necklaces, crystals, vintage jewels, and jewelry tools. The store also plans to add permanent jewelry to its offerings and host events and classes.
Brooklyn Charm operates daily from 11 am to 7 pm.
