Bruce Bridges to Become the New President of AGTA September 13, 2024 (0 comments)

Dallas, TX--Bruce Bridges of Bridges Tsavorite, was elected as the new president of the American Gem Trade Association. He will serve a three-year term. Bridges replaces Kimberly Collins of Kimberly Collins Colored Gems. She will serve as past president when her term ends in February 2025.

Bridges was one of several AGTA elected to its board of directors. Matt Hopkins, Hopkins Opal, and Eshvar Kotahwala, Vinod Kotahwala, Inc., were re-elected to serve three-year terms. Dudley Blauwet, Dudley Blauwet Gems, was re-elected and will serve a two-year term. Two new directors elected to the board for three-year terms, Joseph Ambalu, Amba Gem Corporation, and Tracy Lindwall, Nomad's Lapidary Co., Inc. dba Nomads. The directors-elect will take office in February 2025. The following Members will continue with their positions on the Board: Ann Barker, John Bradshaw, Melinda Daniel, Jonathan Gad, Ravi Jajoo, Cynthia Renee, Ron Rahmanan and Jaimeen Shah.

Eric Yen of Yen’s Jewelry & Accessories will end his term as AGTA director in February.

The new board members will be introduced at the AGTA Membership Meeting, which is open to all AGTA Members, and will be held during AGTA GemFair Tucson, February 3 – 9, 2025.
