Walnut Creek, CA--Davidson & Licht has reopened its Main Street store in downtown Walnut Creek after completing a major renovation, according to the Bay Area Telegraph.

The jeweler, founded in 1916, rebuilt its storefront into a new two-level space following a construction project that began after plans were made public in September 2024. At that time, the company said its previous renovation had taken place more than nine years earlier and estimated the new project would take about 10 months, the report noted.

During construction, Davidson & Licht operated from a temporary location at Broadway Plaza, using the former P.F. Chang’s space. By February 2025, the business had relocated nearby while renovation work continued on its North Main Street storefront.

The store reopened in early 2026. As per the report, the updated facade features glass and stone while retaining the brand's historic identity through its logo and signage. Some exterior finishing work was still visible at the time of reopening.

Davidson & Licht's Main Street location sits alongside other jewelry retailers, including Spitz Jewelers, with Highline Jewelers located further down the street, the report added.
