With a commitment to one-on-one friendships, integrated employment, and more, Best Buddies aims to change lives globally.

Kristin Beaulieu, a Day's Jewelers South Portland store team member, has been a passionate advocate for Best Buddies Maine since 2019. A Facebook post on the jeweler's page said that Hgr enthusiasm for the organization caught the attention of many, leading Day's Jewelers to sponsor her efforts in 2021.

With their support, Beaulieu made significant strides, raising an astounding $30,000 for the cause.

But the story doesn't end there. Kristin has nominated Vanessa Phipps from Day's Jewelers' Auburn Team as a Legacy Champion.

This nomination means Phipps will represent Day's and extend awareness of Best Buddies beyond Portland.

With roots in Southern Aroostook County, Phipps has a personal connection to smaller communities in Maine. She sees the immense potential of introducing Best Buddies to these regions, which currently lack such programs.

Day's Jewelers has expressed confidence in Kristin and Vanessa's initiatives and urges the public to get involved. They're rallying support for Vanessa as she strives to become the 2023 Fundraising Champion for Best Buddies.
