Vancouver, Canada--Diamonds de Canada has secured the exclusive rights to the highly coveted Polar Bear Diamonds Polar Bear Diamond license, allowing them to bring the trademark back into the market with a new look and feel.

The trademark represents diamonds mined in the Northwest Territories of Canada’s arctic region. The company has sourced thousands of diamonds from the Northern mines of Canada in collaboration with the Government of the Northwest Territories. This new Polar Bear brand will launch in July.

Mined and manufactured in the Northwest Territories, the Polar Bear Diamonds “represents an exclusive and premium ethically sourced diamond that underpins the NWT’s reputation as a leader in environmental and socially responsible mining practices,” the company said in a statement. The company is limited to acquiring 16,000 diamonds from the region, which represents the current polar bear population in Canada.

“We couldn’t be prouder to be part of this exciting and beautiful story,” says Benjamin King, owner of Diamonds de Canada. “We can’t wait to bring these diamonds to the consumer and provide them with Polar Bear story of transparency and beauty.”

In partnership with the NWT Diamond and Jewellery Centre, the Polar Bear brand will officially launch at an invitation only launch party for government officials and media contacts on July 14, followed by an invitation only event for community members.

NWT Diamond and Jewellery Centre, part of the HRA Group, which promotes, manufactures and sells Canadian diamonds.
