"My taste has developed in such a different way as I've gotten older," she said in the interview. "I look at the roadmap of my career and I look behind me and it's kind of an amazing way to capture time and all the things that I've done." 

In the interview, King highlighted her instinctive decision-making, saying she now follows her gut, choosing roles based on her current interests and avoiding long-term plans.

Transitioning from light-hearted films like "The Kissing Booth" to more serious projects such as "The Act" has been a significant journey for King. She acknowledged the challenges and joys of this shift, expressing gratitude for the opportunity to explore various character depths and prove her versatility.

King also discussed her engagement ring's design process, highlighting her husband's impeccable taste. She recounted her excitement in visiting designer Caitlin Mociun's store in Brooklyn, ultimately falling in love with a unique piece named "The Structure of the Cosmos."

Reflecting on her wedding in the interview, King described the joy of incorporating her vibrant personality into her wedding attire, with long, flowery earrings adding movement and life to her ensemble. She credited her stylist, Jared Eng, for curating a stunning array of jewelry that made her feel authentically herself.

King cited her engagement ring when asked about her most treasured jewelry piece. She confessed in the interview that her journey into the world of fine jewelry was initially daunting, but finding the perfect ring transformed her perspective, igniting a passion for collecting and appreciating unique jewelry pieces.

King's connection to her heritage was significant in her latest project, "We Were the Lucky Ones." She expressed a deep emotional connection to the story, drawn from Georgia Hunter's book, and shared her admiration for the dedicated team behind the production.

With several projects slated for release, including "Uglies," "Despicable Me," and "A Family Affair," King looks forward to a busy year. Her ultimate career goal is longevity, aspiring to continue her craft well into her nineties.
