Merrick, NY--Is there anyone in the world that isn't looking forward to turning the page on the drama of 2020 and welcoming in a better 2021?
In New York City, the famed crystal ball will drop over Times Square as usual (left, image ABC-7TV), but there won't be any live crowds watching it. According to ABC-7, crews are installing 192 new Waterford crystal triangles on the iconic ball that will drop at the stroke of midnight atop the roof of 1 Times Square on Broadway between 42nd and 43rd Streets. This year's design is entitled "Gift of Happiness" (boy, does the world need that!) and weighs more than 11,000 pounds and is 12 feet in diameter.
