Lack of initiative could allow a loss of business to online retailers at a rate that will increase every year. Everyone spends time online today before they buy. As of now consumers still buy much more in stores, but every day they are becoming more and more comfortable buying online.
That's why we at CENTURION joined with INSTORE to introduce 25 IN 5, the industry's first and only Full-Day Jewelry E-Commerce Conference in October 2016, with the aim to help jewelers achieve 25% of sales online within 5 years. For 2017, 25 IN 5 will take place on Tuesday, October 10, immediately following Centurion South Beach 2017. Both are at the Ritz Carlton South Beach.
Most exciting for the 2017 event (retailers must work the show for one day to be able to attend the conference) is a new focus on workshops by level of expertise. So those who are ready to move forward but not yet started will find five sessions geared more to beginners. Those who have been doing it for a bit but don't yet feel like experts will find five workshop sessions to cater to their needs. And those at it for a long time will find five excellent advanced sessions. We will have a general "orientation" session to kick off the day and will return after some workshops for another general session where sponsoring solution providers get to tell you what they are all about. There will also be ample time to visit solution providers at their tables during breaks and breakfast and lunch will also be provided to attendees.
Through 25 IN 5 and more major support to be announced later this summer for our exhibitors and retailer show attendees, we want to stay with jewelers to help see this mission through. It's exciting and a bit frightening at the same time, but the Jewelry E-Commerce frontier must now be tackled, tamed and owned by all of those who see a great future for this wonderful industry!
