According to a news release by IGI, the diamond, named 'Shiphra,' is a Type IIa emerald cut gem measuring 22.95 x 18.45 x 11.57 millimeters. It boasts a G color, VS2 clarity, and Excellent cut, polish, and symmetry. The diamond was grown over eight months using Chemical Vapor Deposition (CVD) technology. Ethereal Green will display this remarkable gem at JCK Las Vegas at booth #8135.

Tehmasp Printer, president and managing director of IGI India, expressed pride in the institute's role in certifying such a significant achievement. "This gemstone is a paradigm-shifting breakthrough, surpassing 50 carats while exemplifying preeminent standards of sophistication and quality," he said, per the report.

Hirav Anil Virani, managing director of Ethereal Green, echoed this sentiment, expressing pride in introducing the world's largest lab-grown diamond. He emphasized the importance of IGI's certification in providing assurance and confidence to consumers and industry professionals making significant diamond purchases.

The 50-carat achievement comes just a year after Ethereal Green created the "Pride Of India," the first polished lab-grown diamond to exceed 30 carats.

"This magnificent diamond represents the culmination of our team's relentless pursuit of excellence," Virani noted in the report. "By pushing the boundaries of what is possible, we aim to redefine the perception of lab-grown diamonds."

The diamond has already been sold to Shiphra Jewelry, the gemstone's namesake, highlighting the growing market demand for lab-grown diamonds.
