Warwick, RI--Jewelers Board of Trade (JBT) released the Jewelry Market Business Report to help retailers, wholesalers and manufacturers make better-informed merchandising decisions.

The report looks at vital statistics for the second quarter of 2022. It includes data points on wholesale jewelry sales, wholesale relationship to U.S. specialty jewelers sales, total US jewelry and watch sales, specialty jewelers sales, retail sales, wholesale diamond jewelry sales, and aging of payments due.

The report highlights that the total year-on-year change in the listings by US retailers, wholesalers, and manufacturers for the second quarter of 2022 stood at -1.6%, -2.0%, and -2.9%, respectively.

The report also hints at growth for new business in the US post the pandemic-induced slowdown. 79 retailers started operating in the second quarter, whereas the number of new wholesalers and manufacturers entering business was 38 and 16, respectively.

The report looks at the above — and more — data points for North America and Canada.
