Omaha, NE--Better jewelry stores continue to report solid business to The Centurion in numerous conversations. However, broad empirical data to back up that trend is always important.

In a recent LinkedIn post, Sherry Smith, Director of Business Development for The Edge Retail Academy, reported based on data from the more than 3,000 stores in its independent retail jeweler network that the many anectdotal comments we are hearing are also very real as a statistical trend. According to Smith, the 21 days betweern September 25, 2020 and October 16, 2020 saw jewelry store sales jump by 17 percent over the same period in 2019.

"The last 21 days of sales show our independent jewelers trending up in gross sales over last year!" said Smith in her post. "If this growth continues, our retailers could end up with a strong year despite the pandemic."
