West Bloomfield, MI--The holiday season is quickly approaching, it is now time. To capture your customers’ attention with new and beautiful holidays decorating and designs in your showroom. The store interior should reflect the spirit of, and emotions linked to its brand. Customers love holiday decorations because the designs are new and exciting to see. These changes to the showroom are especially important to use special spot lighting on your holiday displays, so they “pop.”

One of the first questions I get is what is the holiday color for 2023? With Magenta and Veri Peri as the color of the upcoming holiday seasons. The Pantone color of the Year 2023, vivid pinks and strong purples are very important tones. Mixing the colors with glittered finishes of silver and gold is what is happening in interior design colors today for retail sales for the holidays.

The holiday season is synonymous with increased sales, promotions, and discounts in your store. To make the most of your jewelry shopping experience keep an eye on a focal point in your store that you can really make your store look special for the holiday.

Here are a few “Holiday Decorating’s Tips” for your jewelry showroom that hopefully will enhance the client experience and create more sales.

  1. Add Cozy Fabrics and Textures. Maybe a throw on the waiting chair or sofa that is soft and inviting. I like to use faux fur that you can wash.
  2. Bring something handmade for a meaningful touch and conversation starters. Maybe it is very special to you that you can share a story with your customers.
  3. Add Greenery and Natural Elements. Organic design is here to stay so incorporating greens or garland like I designed at Zorells Jewelers with the garland above their logo sign: see picture above.
  4. It is fun to add holiday decoration just for kids so that when children come to the showroom with their parents, they can enjoy the fun holiday area just for their age group.
  5. Another added holiday decoration that goes with all jewelry store designs is either fake battery-operated candles or real candles that have a beautiful holiday smell to them. Everyone enjoys candles scents.
  6. It is also fun to wrap empty boxes that coordinate to your color scheme in your store with beautiful bows displayed around the store.
  7. Miniature or full-size holiday trees with lights and color coronated ornaments can be a beautiful focal point in your store decoration.
  8. Wreaths are traditional greens that can decorate your store with accent colors.
  9. Garland is also beautiful for the store. Garland draped along the top or sides of jewelry displays gives the customer an opportunity to be in the holiday spirit. See picture below that I designed with Tim and Sharon Zorell, the owners of Zorells Jewelry store

These owners both say how much their customers appreciate the holiday spirit and design during the holiday season. It isn’t surprising to hear that holiday decorations have such a big impact on retail jewelry spending. Customer come to the jewelry store for a “holiday experience.” Putting up decorations and playing Holiday tunes will put shoppers in a festive mood.
