Bronx, NY--Lika Behar Collection sponsored a Mammogram Bus on November 23 as a part of its annual partnership with the American Italian Cancer Foundation.

The bus provided no-cost mammograms — this year at the Damian Family Health Center (2604 Third Ave, in the Bronx) from 9 am to 4:30 pm. 

The jewelry house said in a news release that the team on board the bus could screen 40 women per day. 

“In this season of Thanks, this is my way of giving back for my continued good health," designer Lika Behar said, extending her support for women who would otherwise go unscreened due to cost or being uninsured or underinsured. 

Lika Behar Collection noted that it's continuing its partnership with CityMeals on Wheels this holiday season. 

"We are continuing to pay it forward by donating to help feed the frail homebound elderly of New York City, in honor of every one of our customers," the jeweler said in the release.
