Mastoloni Honored With Two Awards In Cultured Pearl Association International Design Competition March 03, 2021 (0 comments)
New York, NY—Mastoloni has received two awards in the 11th annual Cultured Pearl Association of America’s (CPAA) annual international design competition.
Mastoloni was one of 11 winners across eight categories in the United States division, which drew 66 submissions. Final judges were Jean Francois Bibet, workshop and production director at Cartier; and Patricia Faber, co-owner of Aaron Faber Gallery in Manhattan, who inspected 19 live U.S. division finalist pieces via Zoom.
The Fashion Category award, evocative of high fashion and a creative mix of materials, went to Mastoloni’s Eclisse cocktail ring (top image), featuring a rich, black 12 – 12.5 mm Tahitian Pearl in 18k rose gold. The asymmetrical design balances a cool geometric setting with the wink and sparkle of white diamonds (0.50 ctw) around the setting. Retail, $6,050.
The winner of the Wedding Day Pearls category was Mastoloni’s floating white South Sea pearl ring, a blend of classic and contemporary styling that features one round 13.5 mm white South Sea Pearl clasped between the top curves of the 18k yellow gold setting. It’s accented with rows of 72 brilliant white diamonds (0.26 ctw). Retail, $4,400.
“Winning two awards in this prestigious competition, among so much talent, is not only a huge honor but an extremely uplifting way to end a challenging year,” said Ray Mastoloni, partner in the company.
Both of Mastoloni’s award-winning pieces are available for viewing and sale at the Aaron Faber Gallery in New York City.
