According to a report in Fox 2 Now, 25-year-old Kordaryl Cross appeared in federal court and admitted to the theft approximately six weeks after his co-defendant, 34-year-old Dajuan Marcellus, pleaded guilty to the same charge.

Prosecutors from the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of Missouri reported that Cross and Marcellus planned the heist using a stolen vehicle. On January 2, 2023, Marcellus purchased a pre-paid Visa gift card, which Cross used eight days later to buy sledgehammers in Missouri.

Per the report, the pair stole a Dodge Ram truck in Brentwood with two unidentified accomplices and drove to the Ellisville jewelry store. Marcellus and one of the other men broke into the store and used the sledgehammers to smash open glass cases containing Rolex watches. Cross stayed outside to keep track of time during the robbery.

After the robbery, the group abandoned the stolen truck in a nearby parking garage, and Marcellus and Cross transported the stolen watches to Illinois.

The report noted that both men pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit interstate transportation of stolen property, a charge that carries a maximum sentence of five years in federal prison and a $250,000 fine.

Marcellus is scheduled for sentencing on October 29 and Cross on December 9.
