Fine Jewelry Production Manager

New York, NY--Nader Kash, a NYC based diamond and jewelry house is seeking a Fine Jewelry Production Manager to join our NYC team. Qualified candidates will have experience in fine jewelry production and will understand the mechanics and processes required to create fine jewelry pieces. They will possess an extreme attention to detail and be well versed in managing spreadsheets (google apps, and excel). Excellent written and verbal communication, as well as the ability to work with many different vendors/manufacturers and maintain relationships in a fast-paced environment, is essential. Knowledge of diamond grading, GIA G.G., OR Graduate Diamonds Certificate is required.

The Fine Jewelry Production Manager’s duties include, but are not limited to:

1. Production Planning & Management

- Assisting the Director of Production as instructed.
- Coordinating with vendors and Diamond Department to develop custom jewelry quotes.
- Coordinating with design teams, craftsmen, and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials.
- Developing and maintaining production schedules to meet deadlines.
- Processing finished production jobs through the Diamond Track system.
- Processing domestic and international memos, invoices, purchases, and shipments to vendors.

2. Quality Control & Assurance

- Ensuring that all products meet the company’s high-quality standards.
Inspecting raw materials, components, and finished products for quality and adherence to design specifications.
- Implementing and maintaining quality control processes throughout production.

3. Vendor and Supplier Management

- Developing relationships with vendors and suppliers to source quality materials at the best prices.
- Monitoring and negotiating pricing, lead times, and quality with suppliers.
- Handling any supply chain disruptions or issues, ensuring smooth production.
- Communicating with international vendors after and/or before regular business hours.

4. Process Improvement

- Continuous review and improvement of production processes for efficiency and quality enhancement.
- Implementing new technologies and techniques to improve product quality and reduce production time.

5. Inventory & Resource Management

- Overseeing inventory levels of raw materials, components, and finished goods.
- Managing stock control and inventory audits to prevent shortages or overstocking.
- Implementing systems to track and manage material usage.

6. Collaboration with Design and Sales Teams

- Working closely with the design team to translate designs into manufacturable products.
- Collaborating with the sales and marketing teams to ensure products are delivered according to market demand and client expectations.

7. Problem-Solving

- Addressing production issues, delays, or quality concerns promptly.
- Developing and implementing solutions to resolve technical or logistical challenges.
- Staying updated on industry trends and advancements in production technology and integrate them when applicable.

Monday-Friday 9:30am-6pm
