Parvin Mayer, Founder & CEO of AFARIN, Passes Away October 12, 2020 (2 comments)
Great Neck, NY--Parvin Mayer, Founder and CEO of AFARIN, has passed away. She was 82.
The company has provided the following statement:
"It is with great sadness that the AFARIN family must inform the jewelry world of the passing of our Founder and CEO, Parvin Mayer (Afarin).
"Parvin, fleeing to America to escape persecution in Iran, created A&P AFARIN CO. in 1980, which has grown to the company it is today.
"She was the life and entertainment of the all the trade shows. There was never a dull moment in her presence. She put smiles on people's faces who both knew and didn’t know her. She went by the name "MOM" to most retailers, as she cared for most people like her own children. Her energy and charisma will be deeply missed by all who's lives she touched. The AFARIN family will continue her legacy, honor, and tradition for a lifetime. Rest In Peace 'MOM' ".
