Per a report in the Daily Republic, the latest break-in occurred at approximately 10:38 a.m. on December 20. This follows a similar incident in November 2021, where the same store was victimized on a Wednesday afternoon. In the 2021 case, the Fairfield Police arrested and recovered around $50,000 of stolen merchandise.

A cellphone video at the scene captured six individuals, all wearing hoodies, involved in the robbery. The store's owner estimates a loss of roughly 30% of his inventory, including some of his more expensive pieces.

The timing of the robbery is particularly noteworthy, occurring amidst the state's initiative to combat organized retail crime. California has allocated $225 million in grants to law enforcement agencies, including Vacaville's Police Department, which is set to initiate its anti-retail crime program in the coming year.
