Author Fang Cheng, founder and CEO of Linc, a customer experience automation firm serving retailers, says the supply chain and returns and order modifications are challenges for retailers this season, but great opportunities exist in both upselling and cross-selling, and in customer experience automation. The bottom line, he says, is that customers have few qualms about switching brands based on customer experience at the best of times, but brand loyalty will be in shorter supply than ever this holiday season so cultivating loyalty is more important than ever.
