Retail News: Bremer Jewelry Celebrates 60 Years With Diamond Jubilee Event October 15, 2013 (0 comments)
Peoria, IL—The diamond is the gemstone used to symbolize a 60th birthday or wedding anniversary, and the 60th anniversary of a notable event is commonly called a diamond jubilee. Britain’s Queen Elizabeth is celebrating hers this year, with much fanfare in the United Kingdom. Bremer Jewelry, with stores in Peoria and Bloomington, IL, also was founded six decades ago in 1953, the same year as Her Majesty’s coronation, but it is their customers who will have reason to celebrate.
“Not every company can weather the changes of 6o years in business,” says owner Ronda Daily. “We’re grateful to be among those who have. This longevity wouldn’t have been possible without the support of our customers. With that in mind, we wanted to give our birthday gift to them.”
From October 11 to 20, Bremer Jewelry is hosting a Diamond Jubilee offering an expanded selection of diamonds and diamond jewelry brought in just for the jubilee. In addition, qualifying customers can enjoy up to 60-month interest-free financing on their diamond purchase.
Bremer’s Diamond Jubilee will also allow one lucky and talented individual to win their own personally designed diamond as part of a special “Cut Above” diamond-design contest.
Says Daily, “All they have to do is come in, design a diamond, then submit it for a chance to win it!” A diamond cutter—with a cutting wheel—and design technician will be on hand to help. The diamond cutter will be demonstrating how to physically cut a rough diamond, and the design technician will show customers how to take a rough diamond and transform it into something beautiful, through an interactive technology. The contest will be held in the Bremer Jewelry Bloomington store October 18, and in Peoria on October 19. The winner will be announced October 21.
