Claudio Terjanian Named Director of Retail at Govberg Jewelers
Bala Cynwyd, PA—Govberg Jewelers has named Claudio Terjanian (left) to the newly appointed role of director of retail. He will report to CEO Danny Govberg, and will be instrumental in facilitating Govberg’s vision for the future of luxury commerce, which includes a robust online presence, the WatchBox by Govberg mobile app, and three flagship stores in Philaladelphia and Ardmore, PA, and Cleveland, OH.
As one of the innovations planned for the retailer, Terjanian will host a weekly streaming show, Top Shelf Tuesday, every Tuesday at 6:00 pm. Top Shelf Tuesday will provide a platform for Terjanian to engage with a growing audience of clients and fellow watch enthusiasts while sharing his passion for high-end timepieces and the luxury experience. Terjanian brings more than 15 years of watch industry experience, with a seven-year tenure at the Franck Muller Group, and eight years with Richemont as the director of sales for Roger Dubuis North America. Through these roles, Terjanian worked closely with Govberg Jewelers and other leading watch retailers, discerning watch collectors from around the world, and professionals involved in all aspects of the watch category.
Birks To Open Five New Canadian Stores; Will Carry Only Private Label
Montreal, QC, Canada—Barely a month after selling its Mayors division, Birks Group announced plans to open five new stores across Canada, all exclusively carrying Birks collection products. Three will be in Ontario—Oshawa (2) and Ottawa; one will be in Edmonton, AB, and another in Quebec City, QC.
