As per a report in Aol citing Fox, two masked individuals armed with a gun and a hammer entered the store on Schaefer Road earlier this month. Ali Alasadi, the store owner, said the robbers threatened him and his family, ordering them not to move while they filled a duffle bag with an estimated $250,000 worth of gold.
Alasadi managed to lock himself in a back room, concerned for his father's safety. His father retrieved a gun and fired warning shots into the ceiling, prompting the robbers to flee. They used three female customers as shields before escaping in a black Mazda 3, believed to be a 2010 model, without a license plate.
Alasadi remains concerned for his safety. Authorities are seeking information from the public and offering a cash reward for leads leading to an arrest. Anyone with information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-SPEAK-UP.
