The Land-Dweller uses Calibre 7135, which replaces the traditional Swiss lever escapement with Rolex’s new Dynapulse system. Per the report, the mechanism uses two distribution wheels driven by a transmission wheel and connects to the balance wheel through a rocker instead of a pallet fork to reduce friction.
Key Dynapulse components are made of silicon, providing amagnetic properties, and the movement runs at 5 Hz — Rolex’s first high-beat mechanical movement.
Gear Patrol noted that the configuration is expected to improve efficiency and precision and represents the brand’s most significant movement change since the Perpetual winding system introduced in 1931.
