New York, NY—Only Natural Diamonds , the consumer-facing, multi-channel digital platform powered by Natural Diamond Council has announced the appointment of Sam Broekema as editor-in-chief, a newly created role for the brand-agnostic natural diamond inspiration and information authority.

Broekema has in-depth experience in the fashion, accessories, and jewelry spaces and has been a diamond jewelry devotee and expert throughout his editorial career. He most recently was fashion market and accessories director at InStyle magazine since 2016. He also held longtime roles at both Harper’s Bazaar and Vanity Fair

“Sam brings an exceptional vision to the world of natural diamonds based on his passion for the category and adjacent experience in fashion and culture. We are thrilled to work with Sam in this new capacity and are energized to see his expert point of view come to life through Only Natural Diamonds,” said Kristina Buckley Kayel, managing director of Natural Diamond Council.

Only Natural Diamonds (OND) is the leading digital destination for audiences to immerse in the mystical and exciting world of natural diamonds. It gained over 130MM unique visitors globally in 2021. Broekema will oversee the content strategy for Only Natural Diamonds across digital platforms and develop creative content angles with cultural relevance to further the modern diamond dream. He also will lead the orchestration of OND’s annual Trend Report by composing a yearly Style Collective of esteemed jewelry editors, influencers, retailers, and stylists.

“I am honored to become the first editor of Only Natural Diamonds. I am excited to conceptualize what both modern and heirloom jewelry mean for consumers now, and celebrate the long and rich history of diamonds in culture, fashion, and the arts,” said Broekema.
