Merrick, NY--It began simply, with a meeting in February 2001 of about 100 higher-end jewelry designers and manufacturers. By the close of that meeting, the group agreed to support Howard Hauben who became the president and CEO of what would be The Centurion jewelry show.

The Centurion jewelry show is equally owned by the exhibitors and Hauben’s H2 Consulting, Inc. They would work on the “same side of the table” to put on great hosted shows for the better fine jewelry retailers who are the exhibitors’ best customers and prospects.

This style of show partnership was unheard of in the trade show industry. This partnership is why the annual jewelry show still thrives after 25 years.

Centurion now has more than 200 of the industry’s top designers, manufacturers and service provides with a waiting list of those wanting to enter the event. These companies invite and host about 340 top jewelry stores at its annual Phoenix event.

Centurion spent its first 10 years in Tucson and for the past 11 years in Phoenix. It’s timed as a lead-in to the annual Tucson Gem Shows. This enables several better jewelers to conveniently cover both shows on the same trip.

Hauben and the manufacturers and designers settled on having the event at the Arizona Biltmore resort in Phoenix.

The next show will be held January 31 – February 4.
