Megan Crabtree: The Top 3 Reasons You Should Be Active on LinkedIn |  May 11, 2022 (0 comments)

Megan Crabtree

Key Largo, FL--Did you know LinkedIn has over 310 million active users monthly? More importantly, if you’re looking to connect with some of the top retail store's buyers, management, and sales associates there on here.

When I was on the manufacturing side as a sales rep LinkedIn was my most effective way to connect with retailers and they responded. Buyers already have tons of cold calls and emails coming in, so I encourage you that you and your team start connecting and interacting on LinkedIn.

Below I'll share with you My top three reasons to become active if you aren’t already on LinkedIn.

1. They get to know you without knowing you

Seven out of the ten people who I spoke with at Vegas in 2021 that I had never met in person said, “Wait you are Megan Crabtree from LinkedIn. Wow, I love your posts and feel like I already know you. I was blown away!” But why did they feel like they already knew me? On a weekly basis, I create organic videos whether it be from my tiki hut in the Florida Keys or on my morning walks. They see me, they hear my advice, and get to know me through this. Also, I share my life outside of work like what I cook in the kitchen, the fish I caught for the day or pictures of me on vacation with my family. Be sure to share your personal journey too because everyone’s life is not just business.

2. You can create awareness and engagement without spending marketing dollars

You should be trying to post at least a few times a week. This will help create awareness for your brand and help potential buyers understand who you are, what you do, and what you sell. The type of content you could share could include new product designs your launching, the company’s unique proposition, or new marketing collateral. Also, learn from these potential buyers and create and post a poll to get their feedback.

3. Share testimonials from your existing clients

Buyers will naturally trust each other more than they trust just marketing collateral so be sure to share other existing clients’ testimonials about working with you and the products you sell.
